6 Inverleith Street
About the house: It is fully insulated (I believe the walls and roof are insulated but not sure about the floor) with double glazed windows and a heatpump. If this is your first time flatting then expect to be cold during winter because it is Dunedin but keeping warm and dry is a matter of blankets, warm socks and a hot water bottle.
It is about a 15-20min walk from Uni depending on where your class is and 30mins from the Med School. Very close to Gardens New World and Fatty Lane.
Landlord is pretty good - responds quickly and sorts out problems.
Flat contains fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer as well as a clothesline to dry clothes. Two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs). Wifi reaches all areas of the house and heatpump is centrally located in the living room/kitchen area. Kitchen area is a decent size and there are several pots and pans and food storage spaces. There is a rather large storage space by the hot water cylinder under the stairs.
Rooms are all the same size. I fit a single bed, desk, wardrobe, bedside table and bookshelf in my room. It is possible to fit a double bed but you will be more pushed for space. Each room is able to be individually locked.
Landlord/Property Manager: Landlord responds quickly. Eager to keep the property in a good condition and hires workers to mow the lawns and general outside maintenance.
Best Thing: It is a fairly modern, warm comfortable flat at a excellent rental rate.
Worst Thing: Little further from Uni than would have liked but this is a very minor concern.
