About the house: Part of a modern complex on Great King Street, well insulated and warm in winter. Great location (fatty lane) and about 10min walk from uni.
Landlord/Property Manager: Fantastic, reliable and efficient, its obvious he has a lot of experience and replies to queries within a day. If something is broken or not working properly, he'll come and fix it or send a plumber right away.
Best Thing: Well-insulated & on Fatty Lane
Worst Thing: 10 min walk to uni is a bit far...
About the house: Flat is in a pretty good place. It is facing the sun most of the time so it's really warm. Nice and new so it was warm over the winter months. Great landlord who was happy to fix most problems. Furnishings were great too, made moving in and out really easy. Only issue is the internet. We use WIC NZ as a provider. They advertised (and we paid for) fibre optic but what we got was borderline un-usable. So slow and cut out consistently. Absolutely shocking wifi connections and throttled speeds past 9pm. We complained about it but they gave us a useless "must be interference" response. By far the worst internet provider in the entire country. If you do sign this flat we cannot stress enough how much you should change providers. Ask the landlord to swap providers at the start of the year if you want to use the internet at some point in the year.
Landlord/Property Manager: Great for getting appliances fixed and that sort of thing. Hesitant to solve the horrific internet situation.

About the house: Warm! Holds heat well, sunny and all rooms get light. It's weirdly creaky though! If someone walks around you can hear it
Landlord/Property Manager: Will gladly fix anything promptly
Best Thing: So warm and sunny, loved having the rooms upstairs away from lounge
Worst Thing: The walls are actually painted air
