About the house: The Good: Flat is in great shape. Dealing with the property manager is great. Usually shows up within two days to fix problems. Great location and complex. The Bad: Shower has two settings, hot as hell or a polar plunge. Kitchen has poor ventilation if you burn anything.

Landlord/Property Manager: Having uni-flats as the property manager is great. You never deal directly with the owner of the building and they have a maintenance crew on at all times that can come around and fix anything. They're really understanding and if you tell them the truth over damages or any other matters that arise, they are excellent at addressing them.

Best Thing: The location. Three minutes to class, three minutes from the gym.

Worst Thing: The complex. If it was a thursday night and you had a test friday morning, someone in the flat was definitely partying. As long as you utilize study spaces like the library, this problem is mitigated.

About the house: The flat is always warm as the heat pump is on most of the day. There is lots of natural light due to the amount of windows and this makes for a pleasant environment. The flat is conveniently located between Otago Polytechnic and The University of Otago.

Landlord/Property Manager: The Uniflats maintenance team is quick to respond to any issues and usually very understanding of wear and tear to the property.

      Best Thing: The heating

      Worst Thing: The noise
